JP Thruster Quad.
The Thruster Quad is designed to perform in whatever the ocean throws at you. Watersport’s favorite wave board in the JP line for New Zealand conditions; it lights up dull onshore conditions with explosive acceleration and speed. Yet when you get those epic days it inspires confidence, cranking through turns in the most critical part of the wave. Making it the board of choice for PWA sailors Robby Swift, Jules Denel and Leon Jaemer.
The inside of the deep concaves under the footstraps have long flat sections. Together with a relatively flat rocker line in the centre this gives the board explosive acceleration and early planing.
The progressive Vee towards the tail increases rocker in the rail line. Together with the new, additional curve in the outline – this enhances manoeuvrability.
The slightly narrower tail and soft tuck line secures a smooth entry into fast carves. While the thin rails provide reliable grip and control during down-the-line carving bottom turns. The narrower nose keeps that lively feel.
The Verdict: “The Thruster Quad is incredibly adaptable and demands time experimenting with the thruster / quad set up to find the perfect match for your riding style or conditions. It rewards positive rider input with bags of speed and energy, offering a unique blend of traditional familiar feel and cutting edge response”.
